Laurmé Skin Care was created to offer the highest quality, natural and organic ingredients in skin care. 1 | If your products are natural and organic, why do you use preservatives?

Oh, yes, we absolutely use preservatives. Some people equate the term “preservative” with “evil” and “harmful.”  While it is true not all preservatives are created equal, preservatives protect us from all kinds of nasties – gross bacteria, fungus and just general stomach-turning creepies.>

Major commercial manufacturers often have shelf lives reaching up to 7 years and more, requiring some pretty heavy-duty preservatives. We strive to keep a balance between natural and safe. Therefore, our recommended shelf life is 12 months.

2 | Do you use parabens?

No, we don’t. Truth be told, the scientific information about the harmful effects of these products is conflicting. Concern has been raised regarding the increased risk for breast cancer associated with parabens. Both the FDA and American Cancer Society appear not to have found definitive links between parabens and breast cancer. However, research is ongoing. Because we have heard from many who prefer no parabens in their products and erring on the side of caution, we have simply chosen not to offer any products with parabens.

3 | Are your products tested on animals?

Noooo! Never! Absolutely not! As an avid animal lover (mommy to 2 dogs and 3 cats), I will not test on animals. Although, let’s be honest - our products are “lab” tested, since my labrador (and pit bull) love to lick off my face creams. I like to say “lab tested and pittie approved.” J

4 | Do you use recyclable materials?

Yes, proudly. Most of our products are packaged in glass, PET or HDPE plastic. Our packing materials are also recyclable.

5 | When are your products shipped? Will I get any notification?

Products typically ship within 48 hours of your order.  You will receive confirmation once we receive your order and another notification with tracking information once it has shipped.

6 | What is your return policy?

We want you to be happy with your purchase. We know not every product will work for every person.  It is rare and highly unlikely that you will see instantaneous results with skin care, but we get it. Sometimes you just know a product is not going to work for you.

You can return the unused product with your receipt within 30 days to 12340 Seal Beach Boulevard, Suite B-628, Seal Beach, CA 90740 for a full refund. Please note: you must ship using a tracking number. Also, please let us know why the product didn’t work for you. That feedback is really important in helping us provide products that best match our customers’ needs.

7 | Do you share my email information?

No. Not only is that just rude, it’s simply bad karma, and we don’t do that. I’d love for you to sign up for our newsletter and blog, but both always offer you an opt-out as well. No strings attached. For our privacy disclaimer, click here.

8 | Any other words of wisdom or cautionary tales?

Actually, yes. We all have unique skin. Sensitive to one can mean something completely different to somebody else. People are allergic to different things as well. Please read the ingredient list and usage instructions carefully and do a patch test on your skin prior to using these products. These products are for external use only. If skin becomes irritated, please discontinue use.

9 | Do you offer wholesale opportunities?

While we currently only offer consumer sales at the moment, we definitely plan to expand to accept wholesale options in the near future. If you’d like to drop us a line at wholesale@laurmeskincare.com, we would be happy to keep you posted as we reach that milestone!

10 | Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, we are currently only able to ship domestically within the United States.
